just launched a new smartphone for its consumers. This model is going to cost no more than Rs 12990.
Karbon is a company which is based in India. They manufacture cheap smartphones so that people whose pockets aren’t deep enough for expensive stuff can actually use such a device. The name of the phone the company recently presented Indian consumers is Karbon Smart A18. And even if it is a product that doesn’t require a lot of money, it doesn’t mean that it has poor quality specifications or features. On the contrary.
Here are the specs and the features of this new phone: a 1 GHZ processor CPU, the Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n Service, a 1500 mAh battery, a 4.3 IPS touchscreen with wide-angle view, a 1.3-megapixel camera (on the front), a HD 5-megapixel cam (on the back and it sports Burst Mode, Face Detection and auto focus), G-Sensor & 3D G-Sensor, 32 GB expandable memory, Dual SIM Support, Wi-Fi with Wi-Fi Hotspot and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
There is USB tethering to be used here. This phone is a dual-SIM one. One of the cards offers support for 2G and the other for 3G. Google services are also featured. And Google Apps, too. The creators of this phone promise users they will never get bored while using the Karbon Smart A18.
Shashin Devsare is Executive Director of Karbonn Mobiles. In his words, this device represents a foray in rising up to the needs of Indian consumers who want a smartphone which will feature the latest technology. Even if it is cheap. According to him, the company’s latest creation represents the most successful attempt at a quality product. And it is a way to make sure that the world sees that India is not in last place when it comes to smartphone production. For that the manufacturers invested a lot of time and effort to make something different that would not cost a fortune. And by the looks of it, they seem to have succeeded.
The Karbon Smart A18 has already appeared on the shelves of Indian shops specialized in gadgets. Go visit them if you are interested.
